An Open Letter From Plans For You
Here are the facts about the God’s Gift baby bottle.
For over ten years Plans for You has conducted our ministry with honesty, integrity and truthfulness. We have never forgotten that in 2000 the idea for the God’s Gift baby bottle and the Baby Bottle Boomerang program were entrusted to us by God as a gift to bless the ministries of pro-life organizations.
We have made every effort to conduct business in a manner that reflects God’s love for you and for the unborn. According to our best estimates, this program has raised over $65 million for pro-life organizations since its inception.
Recently another pro-life organization began selling baby bottles and offering a program that is similar to the one we have provided free of charge since 2000.
We respect the rights of other organizations to sell baby bottles, and we have always felt competition and fair trade were a part of America’s fabric. We chose to say nothing and continue to conduct our business with integrity, guided by the promises of Jeremiah 29:11 after which this ministry was named.
However, it has just come to our attention that this organization has now produced a bottle with the words God’s Gift on the front and bearing a baby’s image similar to the one we have used for 10 years.
Our reason for speaking out now is that we are concerned you may be confused by this product and mistake it for the original God’s Gift bottle and program. They are not the same. We have always believed your ministry deserves the best in products and in service, so let me remind you of our ministry standards:
• We refuse to buy bottles from countries that force women to abort their babies. We believe you would agree with that, despite the fact our bottles cost us more from other countries.
• We are committed to selling the God’s Gift bottle and supporting products only to pro-life ministries. We refuse to sell to other non-profits that may use our bottles to compete with you for the church’s financial support.
• We provide free and unlimited telephone counseling. For that reason we do not sell our products online. You deserve caring, personal attention. We help you determine exactly how many bottles you need, and it often turns out to be fewer than you had planned to buy. We are available for free counseling throughout the event and will help evaluate your results afterwards.
• We believe your ministry’s image is defined by the programs and the products you offer your community. We want to assist you in creating a positive image by providing you only the best…in service, in products, and in partnership.
